Ready to Launch (Pad)!
The following information will give you a better idea of what to expect throughout your first week at Benevity.
During your first week, you will be attending Launch Pad at one of our offices (see more information below). Launch Pad is our orientation designed for new Benevity-ites. If it has been communicated to you that you will not be joining Launch Pad during your first week, not to worry – you will join the next Launch Pad! In the meantime, you will be supported by your People Leader to ensure you are all ready to take on your first week!
What is Launch Pad?
Launch Pad will introduce you to Benevity’s ecosystem. By the end of the week, you’ll have a foundation of knowledge, experiences, and connections to build on as you continue your Benevity journey. You’ll learn about our products, clients, and the causes we support, as well as the function that each team plays in supporting Benevity’s moonshot. You’ll even learn why so much of our lingo relates to rockets and the moon!
Launch Pad will immerse you into our culture. You’ll attend a variety of sessions that include learning opportunities, challenges, and of course, doing good! We’ll go over things like Benevity’s values and culture, payroll and benefits, and share a little more about where we came from and where we’re going.
The people in your Launch Pad group may just become your closest friends at Benevity! After spending much of the first week together, we often see Launch Pad members setting up monthly lunches, volunteering together, and supporting each other in their development.
Travelling to Launch Pad
If you live in North America, you will be traveling to our office in Calgary, Alberta for Launch Pad.
If you live in Europe, you will be traveling to our office in Barcelona, Spain for Launch Pad.
You will be arriving on the Sunday before Launch Pad begins, and departing back home the Thursday evening or Friday of your Launch Pad week.
You will be booking your own travel through our travel partner. We will have emailed you with more information on doing this.
